Enterprise Location Voiture et Utilitaire - Dunkerque

Don’t bother. Staff weren’t there at all, took nearly an hour for them to turn up, we ended up missing our ferry and being stuck overnight in Calais because they had gone home. The lady who served us knew when we had to be at the ferry port and made no apologies for her not being there. Totally different experience to Europcar who we used before.

We went to pick up our hire car so we could get it to the ferry port just in time for the last foot ferry as our car broke down and insurance covered the hire car to get us to the port. We got to this car hire place with half an hour to spare and there was no one there. Our taxi had to call them and they said they would take 15 minutes to get there and knew we were in a rush to get a ferry. They took more than 45 minutes!!!! Considering they knew we needed to get a ferry this was not on and the person who turnt up had the audacity to huff, say it takes 45 minutes to get a hire car sorted and she took her merry time to sort out the hire car. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a hire car and it stopped us getting our last ferry home. We were stuck in Calais and we thought it would be for the night but we managed to get a friend to come and get us, who came through the eurotunnel to pick us up and this companies one mistake has cost us an extra unnecessary £200 and we were in Calais outside a closed ferry port for 6 hours. We are not happy as we have had such a difficult time getting home and no one was there at enterprise because they went home even though they’re advertised as open, there were four other people waiting to drop off and pick up their cars and their excuse was: ‘you’re booking was at 3 so we thought you weren’t coming’ when our booking reference said collection was from 3 and we explained to them before collection that we couldn’t get there until around 4:30 due to the amount of travelling we had to do coming from the south of France .

All i can say is wow. I hired a Renault Twingo, for two weeks as my car broke down in Dunkerque. I had to drive back to UK. The two woman that are on reception are just delightful. They made a stressful situation turn into a great exsperince. They deserve a big thumbs up, as I have never seen such great honest and genuine customer service in a long time. The guy that was cleaning the car was also super helpful as I wanted to see how the seats went down . What a lovely team , i wish you all the best and thank you for all your help.
